We took the Bait

Amos Yee: He is an Idiot.
However: what he did was nothing more than baiting, and you took it. The joke is on you.Freedom of speech and freedom from responsibility yadda yadda yes. But remember also that
1. Freedom of speech is a precondition for freedom of religion.
2. Freedom of speech necessarily means the freedom to offend.
I don't recommend offending people, but taking away the right to do it is a different matter altogether.
Put another way: you could have walked away and remained the bigger person, but you let him pull you down to his level.

I don't think *all* speech should be protected. Death threats and incitement to violence come to mind. But what Amos Yee did was a teenager's pathetic attempt at an edgy opinion piece. The correct response was to laugh at it and pat him on the head and tell him to run along. Too late now.

Lower admission feet at science centre Singapore

Tickets previously cost $10 for adults, $6 for children aged three to 12, and $2 per student for local school groups.During peak periods, fees for children are now $4, down from $6, and $6 for adults, down from $10.

What is the purpose of the lower admission fees? is it because the Science Centre is on planning to increase their income rates or they just want to encourage people to be more attracted to science. none knows

you won't recognise her now

You would not recognise her, she was Daveigh Chase and she was the main lead row a film once was said the most scary horror film, THE RING she is 24 now and still became an actress where most of child actress like usually not end very well. puberty is something  mysterious and yet magical.

vandalism

two young german was sentenced  9 months prison because they sneaked out through drainage system and go to Train deport, they then spray a graffiti there around 2 meter tall and 10 meter wide. few days alter they were caught in Malaysia KL airport,

for me vandalism is a way of expressing art but in bad way,and its up to them to risking their life just to do it, for a student in an art school we are taught to expressing ourself but in a good way.

"flag-down" up

Land Transport Authority and Public Transport Council just announced that they will reconstruct the Taxi flag down fare, which means it will be more complex that it already was. they say it was to ensure the livelihood of the taxi drivers and and also benefits the consumer.

from which angle is the raise of taxi fare would become a benefit? Singapore's car was already an expensive thing,  plus the price of parking, now they increase the price of cab also i think its quite cruel and forcing us to use Crowded MRT and Bus.

Jerks

it is your choose to be a good person or a bad person, but even in this society that parents raise you with affection, religion teach you about love, and  school teach you morals there will be a individual who is a rebel against it. this was an example how an individual could not go any more wrong. he source say he got a high IQ which mean he clever than average but with those kind a live perspective to bad mouth everything, he misuses his gift. which any means he is just a jerk with low moral.

The one Who Started Singapore

few days ago i read an article about Mr. Lee Kuan yew personal life, they show briefly how the inside looks of his home. its very humble home, he even still using the old computer and his home was roughly furnished with antique item. its very rare how a very powerful person could life in such situation. for me its already more that enough proof to show that he was mean to be respected. he build something, even with a very rough ways of doing it, but he finish to built it. and even sacrifice his own pride to be even called a dictators just to build Singapore as it is today.

social addiction

I know we are all living in the era where everyone must be shared. people buy food to let others know what they are eat daily, people buy new dress to let other know what they going to wear for the next week, and people hangout to show how big is their social circle and connection.

and to be honest, i also one of them.

then one day i wake up, something struck me and make me think "how long can you survive without social media?"
It made me realize, am i addicted to those likes that i got when i post nice pictures, why did i became happy if someone saw me going to places, but not really happy of those place itself. it struck me hard that i challenge myself to face it. that i was addicted to it.
by admitting it doesn't mean i suddenly be able to stop these issues. but at least i try, to slowly changes this addiction to another positive things. but most of all i try to enjoy the REAl things i do.

PASSION

yesterday i met this uncle, he open a shop around funan, and i asked why you open a vinyl shop. you know out there people listen to music using their ipod. and there are not much people come around and buy old music. and he answer with a simple word, it was PASSION. then he begin to explain how his parents force him to work but in the end he follow his hobby to listen to vinyl and open his own shop. are there still people out there who chase their passion?

where is it now ?

this picture was taken from Indonesia, it was just a common view there, a farm, forest, wild trees, if lucky you can even see a raccoon. its not a bad thing to be number one country, but sometimes it bothering me how thing is too organized because of the fast growing rate of Singapore, animals can only be seen in zoo, wild trees on the kampoeng.
